Let’s learn more about the vegetative stages in home grows.  Ensuring that your cannabis plants are in the proper vegetative phase is crucial for successful home grows.  The vegetative phase is the period of growth and development in a plant’s life cycle when it is focused on building a strong root system and producing leaves and stems. In this phase, your plants will need the right amount of light, temperature, humidity, nutrition, and care to thrive.

Here are some steps you can take to ensure that your cannabis plants are in the vegetative phase while growing at home:

Provide your plants with enough light.

During the vegetative phase, your plants will need at least 18 hours of light per day. Grow lights will need to be utilized in order to obtain the massive amounts of light required for the plants to thrive in this phase of the grow.

Keep the temperature and humidity at the right levels.

During the vegetative phase, your plants will prefer a temperature between 70 and 85 degrees Fahrenheit and a humidity level between 40% and 60%. Use a thermostat and a humidifier or dehumidifier to maintain these levels.

Fertilize your plants regularly.

During the vegetative phase, your plants will need a balanced fertilizer with equal parts nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium (NPK). Follow the instructions on the fertilizer package for the proper amount to use.  Find everything you need right here.
