Delicious CBD Dinner recipes
Nothing says comfort food like a baked meal. What about baked dinners with CBD? It’s like a calming, relaxing hug in food form.
Some of the simplest weeknight dinners are the ones that are slipped into the oven, like casseroles, pasta dishes and roasts. If you are a CBD enthusiast, you might want to get your daily dose by incorporating CBD flower into your favorite dinnertime meals.
We have made it easy by providing five of our very favorite oven-baked dinner recipes, which all contain CBD oil that’s easily made using CBD flower, not delta 9 flower.
Cooking with CBD Flower Starts with Making the CBD Flower Oil
Many of these dinners call for a CBD-infused cooking oil that is made with the raw buds of the hemp plant. By making the oil ahead of time in a large batch, you can eliminate one step from the cooking process. This oil recipe is good for up to six months, and easy to add to any cooking recipe.
The recipe calls for one cup of your favorite high-temperature cooking oil and one cup of ground hemp flower (7 to 10 grams). Use a cooking oil with a higher smoke point, such as regular olive oil or avocado oil, as extra virgin olive oil doesn’t do well when baked.
Steps:
- Decarboxylate the hemp flower to activate the compounds.
- To do this, line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set your oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Then, bake the buds for 30 minutes, giving the pan a shake every 10.
- Once removed, grind up the buds into a course mixture.
- Now, pour those coarsely ground buds into one cup of oil, and put into a saucepan.
- Keep the heat on low and stir regularly for 2 and a half hours.
- Then, strain the oil into a bottle or jar, and you are good to go.
Now that you’ve got the oil ready, you can try any of your own recipes, ours below, or find new ones to test out.
