This Cannabis-Infused Spicy Tuna Roll recipe is perfect for sushi lovers who want a little bit of a kick. This recipe is easy to follow and adds a little something extra to your sushi experience. The cannabis infusion can be achieved through cannabis oil or butter. This recipe is perfect for a night in with friends or a date night.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of sushi rice
  • 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 4 sheets of nori
  • 1 tablespoon of cannabis oil or butter
  • 4 ounces of sashimi-grade tuna
  • 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon of sriracha
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds
  • Soy sauce and wasabi for serving

Going Step by Step

  1. Rinse the sushi rice in cold water until the water runs clear. Add 1 cup of water to a pot with the rice and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and let the rice simmer for 20 minutes.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over low heat until the sugar and salt dissolve.
  3. Once the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and add the vinegar mixture. Mix well and let the rice cool to room temperature.
  4. In a small pan, heat the cannabis oil or butter over low heat. Add the tuna and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side. Remove from heat and let cool.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the mayonnaise and sriracha.
  6. Lay a sheet of nori on a sushi mat. Spread a layer of the sushi rice on top of the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
  7. Place the cooked tuna, sliced avocado, and the mayo-sriracha mixture on top of the rice.
  8. Roll the sushi tightly with the sushi mat, starting from the bottom. Use the border of rice at the top to seal the roll.
  9. Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the roll and cut into 8 pieces.
  10. Serve with soy sauce and wasabi.
