  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup molasses
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup mixed candied fruit (such as cherries and citrus peel)
  • 1/4 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Going Step by Step

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and ginger. Mix well.
  3. Add the melted butter, molasses, and milk to the dry ingredients. Stir until the batter is smooth and well combined.
  4. Fold in the raisins, candied fruit, and chopped nuts (if desired), distributing them evenly throughout the batter.
  5. Pour the batter into the greased loaf pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Once baked, remove the Jamaican Spice Bun from the oven and let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes.
  8. Transfer the bun to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
  9. Give it a try and enjoy!

We are sure you are a perfect cook! Nonetheless, do remember to pay attention to the amount of Jamaican Spice Bun you consume: it should always be modified based on the strength of your product and the potency you desire. Dosing homemade edibles can be tricky, so it is strongly recommended to start with one portion of a serving. After one or two hours, listen to your body and decide whether to consume more. It is not recommended to drive or operate any machinery when taking edibles. Use responsibly!
