This Chicken Marsala recipe comes with instructions for a thick and creamy mushroom sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, boneless and skinless
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 tablespoons cannabis-infused butter
- 4 tablespoons olive oil
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1/2 cup Marsala wine
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Going Step by Step
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour, salt, pepper, dried oregano, and garlic powder.
- Dredge the chicken breasts in the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat the cannabis-infused butter and olive oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the sliced mushrooms and sauté until they release their moisture and become golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Deglaze the skillet with Marsala wine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom.
- Stir in the chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Return the chicken breasts to the skillet and simmer for an additional 10-12 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened slightly.
- Stir in the heavy cream and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
